Day 1 
                                                                                                         
Nairobi City – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Game Drive Hours: 2-3 hrs

Distance: 280 km

Meals: Lunch and Dinner

The drive guide will pick you from your Nairobi hotel after taking your breakfast. Depart at 8:30am for the 4 days Masai mara wildebeest migration budget safari.  You will pass the Great Rift Valley on the way with a short stop over to see the rift valley system. It’s a marvel to see the width of the valley and the volcanic mountains on its floor.

You will arrive in Masai mara at 1:00pm and check into your budget tented camp for lunch and rest.

An afternoon game drive starts at 4:00pm to see the wildebeest migration for the first time. The wildebeests stretch across the plains in their millions and all you can see are black masses of blue wildebeest grazing as they move slowly across the plains. The predators are on tow tracking the wildebeests all along as well. This will be an eventful start to your 4 days Masai mara wildebeest migration safari tour.

We will return to the budget Masai mara migration camping site after the game drive for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Game Drive Hours: 7-9 hrs

Distance: 200 km of game drive tracks

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Full day will be spent at the Masai mara game reserve tracking the wildebeest’s migration moving across the plains. We will depart from our tented camp after a warm breakfast for the mara river to see the greatest event of the migration- the wildebeest mara river crossing. The animals are in their hundreds as they amass on the river bank and all of a sudden break into a mad rush into the water. This is will be the most exciting day of our 4 days Masai mara wildebeest migration safari package.

The wildebeests will jump to make it across the river before the Nile crocodiles can catch up or before they are swept off by the strong currents. It is a great sight to watch as the animals fight all odds to make it across the river. Needless to say, hundreds of them die at the mara river crossing every year, but even a larger majority make it across the river to return the next year.

Enjoy a bush picnic lunch and later a game drive as you return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Game Drive Hours: 5-6 hrs

Distance: 100 km of game drive tracks

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

On the third day of the 4 days Masai mara wildebeest migration safari, go for an early game drive before breakfast in the Masai mara to track the wildebeest in the plains and look for the leopards, rhinos and other big five animals. Return to camp to a warm breakfast and lounge in your tent. You will have a lunch followed by another afternoon game drive tracking the wildebeest migration again.

Enjoy an evening dinner and a campfire with overnight at the camp.

Day 4

Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi City

Game Drive Hours: 2-3 hrs

Distance: 310 km (Main and Game roads)

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

This is your last day in the 4 days Masai mara wildebeest tracking safari. You will start early with a breakfast and followed by a morning game drive till 9:30am. You will then check out of your tented camp for Nairobi.

We will have a lunch en route and drop off at late afternoon. Drop off in our Nairobi hotel.
