Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Wake up ready for the safari and our driver will pick you up from your Nairobi safari hotel for the tour at 0830 hrs. You will drive through the Great African Rift Valley and up the western escarpment and drop into the Masai Mara and Loita plains. Check into your tented camp or luxury Masai Mara lodge for lunch and a siesta. Game drive at 1600 hrs until dusk looking for the big five animals.

Return to your accommodation in Masai mara for overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve Full Day Game Drive

You will leave your hotel or camp after breakfast for a day long game drive and visit to the Mara river. The Mara river is where the great wildebeest migration crosses river Mara and its an action packed event. You will take vantage points at this theater of the wildebeest to watch as they jump into the water and fight their way through a wall of crocodiles and a surge of flood waters of the Mara river.

The lions and leopards wait on the opposite bank for their pound of flesh and the drama is high at high noon at Mara river crossing. You take all the pictures you can here as this is the climax of the 5 days Masai Mara migration package. Enjoy a picnic lunch in your car and later go on a game drive in the park enroute back to your camp or luxury family lodge. Dinner and overnight at camp or lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

You will go on the last game drive in Masai mara after having a buffet breakfast and go on your last game drive in Masai mara game reserve. Be on the lookout for the small many animals since by now you have definitely seen the big five already. Don’t miss even the grass, ants and the bugs in the mara.

Depart for Nakuru at 0800 hrs and arrive at the park at 1300 hrs for lunch and siesta. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru national park and later return to lodge or camp for dinner and overnight. Nakuru is popular for its flamingos, rhinos, lions and leopards. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Aberdare National Park

Early morning game drive after a cup of coffee. Enjoy the game drive around Lake Nakuru to see the early risers and the grumpy ones too. Return to your campsite or lodge for breakfast and depart the park at 0900 hrs for Aberdare national park.

You will arrive in the base hotel –the Outspan hotel in Nyeri town where you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch and later transfer to the treetops restaurant in Aberdare national park. Aberdare treetops lodge is made such that all the terraces and rooms windows face a water hole and salt lick where all the animals come for a drink and some salt.

In this park, you will watch the animals from the terrace as they come to drink water and you can book a late night wake up call service to wake you up when a rare animal is sighted at the water hole for example a leopard.
Dinner and overnight at the treetops lodge.

Day 5: Aberdare – Nairobi

Wake up to the birds chipping and an occasional leopard growl. You will enjoy a warm breakfast in the chilly morning of the Aberdare and watch the animals at the water hole. Depart the park after breakfast at 8:30am for Nyeri town where your driver guide will be waiting to transfer you to Nairobi.
Arrive in Nairobi at 1200 hrs and drop off in your city hotel.
